People from coastal regions exhibit vast diversity along with an underlying commonality due to the coastal biodiversity. Seafood plays a major role in the cuisine of the coastal states.
The spread includes a live seafood grills counter including fish like Indian Salmon, Ladyfish, Mullet, Butter Fish, Crab, White Emperor and more; these are paired with a variety of marinades to choose from, a live Appam and Stew counter, a Chaats counter and a wide-spread main course with the dishes simmering away in earthen clay pots and a desserts section.
The Jhal-Muri from the Chaats counter was as close to what you get in Calcutta- a must try! The Chicken Stew with light Appams will make for a great start to the meal.
The desserts counter includes a spectacular Chenna Rasmalai, Kala Jamun, Rasgullas, cut fruits and the elusive Kalakand.
